The mission of the Association of Shelter Medicine Veterinary Technicians (ASMVT) is to promote and improve the lives of shelter animals through science-based care methods, to promote the overall well-being of animal welfare workers, support shelter medicine continuing education efforts, along with attaining the VTS in Shelter Medicine for its credentialed veterinary technician members.
